Showers of Blessing

Hmm.. where do we begin?
It’s amazing how much God can do in a day, let alone how much He can do in a month. We’re excited to share the new things that God is doing with Lighthouse Thai. Keep your eyes opened for more blogs from Lighthouse Thai, in your inboxes. We ended out last blog with prayer requests. So we’ll begin this one with praise reports.
Through your generous donations, we now have enough money to renovate the kitchen!! We will be closing Wongen Kafe for a week, and when we re-open on October 24th, we will have a brand new kitchen ready and capable of better serving our customers, and will be one step closer to becoming self sustaining.
You have served us well little kitchen…but your season has come to an end.
We begin our Discipleship Training Week…today! Again, God moved the hearts of people to sponsor students. We have 20 students, Thai Wongen Kafe staff, college students, Thai ministry workers, and Ning and Choke. God also provided a translator for Ning and Choke during DTW. Isn’t it like God to always give over and abundant of what we ask?
Speaking of Ning and Choke, after a VERY long process of trying to get work permits for them,we are now in possession of work permits for the both of them! They are now legal workers in Thailand, and are able to access Thai health benefits as well. Koheng is now attending nursery. Ning works during the day, and is able to be with him when he gets out of school. Choke works the full day, faithfully provide for his family. In regards to staff. God has brought two Americans to work alongside Emmi as full time, long term staff.
Bethsaida is helping to oversee the bar ministry and slums outreach. She is working on new outreach strategies and programs. She is from NYC, and it only took one day and one night for God to confirm this is where she needed to be. Like we said, God can do a lot in a day…let alone a month
Jarred is helping to oversee Wongen Kafe and the college outreach. He is also working on new classes and programs for the ministry. He is from California, and though he had other plans, God showed him, He had a beter plan. Jarred has no doubt in His mind God has called him to serve at Lighthouse, for such a time as this.
As you can see, we are a VERY serious staff.
We are growing little by little, and of course we’re always asking God to bring more full time servants.
God blessed us with a special gift this month, through a team from Tennessee.
Emmi shared her heart about how we needed a room to hold classes and meetings. They went to work right away and started building on the second floor of the cafe. We now have TWO rooms!
God has been doing some awesome things this month, all in preparation for the next season of Lighthouse Thai.We are praying that God will send more teams in the next coming months, so that we can continue to see God’s manifest glory in lives being transformed!
Thank you for your prayers, support, and donations.
Let’s continue to work together, to bring Kingdom here in Thailand.
-Lighthouse Staff.
