God is on the move.

“It is easier for the Lord to direct object in motion” This sentence become so real as we follow direction God lead us we come to find out that there are so much hurting in the world and only Jesus can bring them healing. It is so much fun to see how God directing us the way we should go.

After we started the new journey with the Lord by following His lead “Lighthouse In Action” We taking action. We go out to talk to people on the street and red light district area. We made friends with many prostitution, gays, and some lesbian community. The past 2 years we have seen God open the door of their hearts to listen to many of our stories. We got many short term teams and volunteers that going out with us and tell people God’s stories. Each of us have story to tell, God’s grace and mercy, how HE saved us and how we can walk in the hope and future that God allow each one of us to walk.

“Ju” is one of my friend that she has been together with her girl-friend for 13 years. Seems like everything goes well with her. They got 1 house in Phuket, down south of Thailand and 2 flat in Bangkok. Their lives seems so happy and need nothing. One day we went out for dinner and we talk. She expressed herself to me about how her life missing something. She has been through a lot of hard work and so many difficulty in her life and in her relationship. But now, she got a great job with highest pay someone could dream about. Her girlfriend, is a teacher in one of the university in Bangkok, they both have very good life. They try to do lots of good deeds and help many people. But they are missing something. I have been sharing my story with them and tell them how God give me peace and life. Ju told me that the first time when she met me, she felt like I was difference, she sense a peace and joy that never seen in anyone before. I shared with her about “Lord Almighty of the universe” in Thai there is a name of a God that when the Thai people are desperate, they would pray to this God. “SingSakSid Haengsakollalok” I found that this is the name of our Almighty God in Thai that is is already in the culture and in everyone heart. Ju really like this what I share and I told her to pray to this “Singsaksid” she is so happy now, even though she has not pray a sinner prayer, but somehow I felt like she has found her Savior that she might not even know about. Please continue to pray for “Ju” I will continue to hang out and have dinner with her. with Hope to share about God’s love with her more.

As some of you or many of you already know that we now got the coffee shop up and running right across from Chiangmai University and partner with Won-Generation ministry. Wongen Kafe’ is a partnership between Lighthouse in Action and Won-Generation. Both of our ministry have the same vision, we want to reaching out to the most out-cast people who are rejected by the normal Thais and even others Christians in general. We want to present the gospel to them in the way that they understand. We believe that university students are the key prime time to decide for their life and follow either their plan or God’s plan. So that was the beginning of the reason we (Lighthouse in Action) join with our partner (Won-Generation)

March 2010 Micah Wood who lead Won-Generation ministry asked me to pray about taking over Won-Generation, both the building and ministry. It was big stress to me as I know that as human, I cannot do that. It would increase my responsibility 3 times more than before. I do not have enough staffs to help or even financial support to run the place. We praise God that He provided for us enough to get the shop started and running but to continue the shop that another story. But after few weeks of prayers and seeking the Lord about it, I felt the Lord gave us green light to them. By FAITH in God, I took the risk of accepting the whole thing. So now I am leading both of the ministry Lighthouse in Action and Won-Generation are under my leadership.

As a Thai person, one thought was, how in the world I would do what I suppose to do? How can I lead the ministry and even how can I do manage the coffee shop then lead the ministry. Some times I almost give up when I think about the burden that ahead, big bill to pay every month. And big responsibility with the shop and ministry. Few weeks ago, I took sometimes to seek the Lord and I laid everything down before Jesus. He confirm to me that He will not leave me and forsaken me. He will be my helper. I believe that God would lead people to come and help us. I try to lay down my human thought and try to listen to what the Lord is saying. Many times when I feel so lonely in serving this kind of ministry. I run back to the promises that the Lord promises me. I realise that real life and dream is very difference. Now I am not just dream about what I want to do any more, but I really do what I feel God wants me to do. So I cannot give up. I have to follow Jesus who know what He is doing even while I do not know what I am doing, but I know someone do.

Right now we got the coffee shop up and running. We open from 10:00 a.m. – 10 p.m. we do not have that many customers yet but we hope that this coffee shop would be the gate-way for people to come to know Jesus. Many university students would come and hang out with us and we hope to lead them to The Way. We plan to have discipleship dorm at Wongen Building, now we got 5 non-believers and 3 believers staying there. We also hope to have discipleship class with all of them every week. We also set up housing for short term team who want to work with us as well.

I decided to sell my truck that I have for 4 years in order to keep Wongen Kafe’ running especially the slow time like this when the university have summer break. Please join me in prayers so that the Lord would do what He wants to do and we are part of that.

Please pray for us that,
- we will hear from God what to do each day and each plan that God wants us to do.
- we need wisdom from the Lord to manage the ministry and the kafe’
- we will have more full time staffs to work with us.
- we will have more customers to the shop so we will be able to sustain the shop.
- Our customers will feel welcome and the present of the Lord will be with us.
- we will have enough financial to run the place and pay our workers
