“God answers prayers” is a true statement that the Lord allows me to experience since I started my journey with the Lord and reaching out to prostitutes and homosexual in Chiangmai city.

Lighthouse in Action is a ministry the Lord put in my heart to reaching out to prostitution and homosexual in Chiang Mai city.

Since July 2008 we have experience God’s grace and through His provision to start a small guesthouse and to be our operating location in the mid of red-light district of Chiang Mai. We now have a small guesthouse fully operate for short term teams and volunteers who goes out and minister to people who work in the bar and clubs around our place.

The first year of our ministry the Lord challenge us to pursue prayer worship and intercession. It was hard at time and because we always surrounded by the need, more often we really want to go out to them. But when we walk in obedience to the word of the Lord, we now see the new doors open in the second year of our ministry and God allow us to get into the place where we never thought would be possible for us.

“Marina Bar” is a transvestite bar and he has a few workers with him. Our volunteer Anna who came to Lighthouse with her SOE team last year – she is now back to serve with us as our volunteer staff for a year. God has opened the door for her to go and teach English to our friends in the bar and we have sent others YWAM teams to the bar with her and give them some simple English lesson. Much more than just teaching English – the team also has built relationship with the people there. Some day they cook and eat together. We also had a time that we went out to the lake to spent time together, hang out as friends and love on them where they are. Even though at this point we do not see them some to the Lord yet but we believe through prayer and be friends with them, we believe the Lord will lead them to himself soon.

We will hear from God how to reach out to our friends in the bar.
- For wisdom to present the gospel of Jesus in the way they would understand.
- For when they stop working at the bar, we will be able to present the alternative job for them.
- More staffs to come and work with us.
